Dead of Night

“Three tales of mystery, imagination and suspense.”

Frank (Ed Begley Jr.) wants one thing, an old car he has spotted and can't talk himself out of buying, and the film hands him that car in the first of three stories. Dan Curtis directs this anthology of tales written by Richard Matheson, which also takes in a vampire story and a grieving mother who asks for her drowned son back. In that last one, the whole story sits in the stretch between a mother and her boy.
