Dead Pigs

Old Wang (Yang Haoyu) wants to keep his pig farm afloat, and he's in debt when thousands of dead pigs begin drifting down the Yangtze toward Shanghai. Cathy Yan follows his story beside four others: a salon owner, Candy Wang (Vivian Wu), a busboy, an expat architect, and a bored rich girl, Xia Xia (Li Meng). Each of them is stuck in a small, private scramble of their own, and none of them can say yet what it will cost.
