“Play The Game. Obey The Rules. Pray For Mercy”

At the University of Dreyskill, the semester is ending and a group of students invents a game to keep from studying. Marcus (Brian Hooks), Kareem (Antwon Tanner) and the others play it through one night, while Detective John Criton (Rutger Hauer) is drawn toward what the game has started. Hooks and Deon Taylor treat the game as the film's whole problem: a way of passing time that nobody can leave once it begins.
