Deadlier Than the Male

“The Female of the Species - The face of an angel...The arms of the devil”

André Chatelin (Jean Gabin) runs a restaurant in the heart of Paris and has settled into a life where nothing much changes. Then Catherine (Danièle Delorme), the daughter of his ex-wife, turns up saying her mother has died and she has nowhere to go. Julien Duvivier follows the household as she moves in, and André, still in his apron and still behind his own counter, has no idea how much he has let through the door.
