Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) is a merc with a mouth until loss upends everything. When a time-traveling soldier named Cable (Josh Brolin) arrives hunting a young mutant arsonist called Firefist (Julian Dennison), Wade assembles a ragtag team called X-Force to get in the way. The film suggests that redemption isn't found in grand gestures or becoming someone better, but in showing up for the people in front of you, no matter how messy.
