“Welcome the fuck back.”

It is 1889, ten years after the camp first took root in the Black Hills, and Deadwood is putting up bunting to celebrate South Dakota's statehood. Seth Bullock (Timothy Olyphant) and Al Swearengen (Ian McShane) are both pulled back into town, along with Alma Ellsworth (Molly Parker) and Trixie (Paula Malcomson), and Daniel Minahan lets the old rivalries find them quickly. Swearengen, older now and slower on the stairs, has to decide what he still owes this place.
