Dean

“A comedy about tragedy.”

Dean (Demetri Martin) is a New York cartoonist who draws in felt pen on Bristol board, and since his mother died he has barely been able to finish a page. His father, Robert (Kevin Kline), wants to sell the family house, and Dean flies to Los Angeles, where he meets Nicky (Gillian Jacobs) and falls for her fast. Demetri Martin directs and drew the pictures himself, simple black lines on white board, each one waiting for Dean to put a joke in it.
