“Love brought them together. Will fate tear them apart?”

Savannah Lynn Curtis (Amanda Seyfried) is a college student who meets John Tyree (Channing Tatum), a restless Army soldier home on leave. When John deploys, they begin writing letters to sustain what started between them on a Charleston beach. Hallström shoots their separation across time zones and seasons, the letters becoming the only bridge between two people trying to hold on.
