Dick Dandelion (Jamie Bell) is a quiet kid in a blue-collar town who joins a small circle of teenagers calling themselves the Dandies. They carry guns, and they swear to keep them unfired. Thomas Vinterberg follows the group as Sebastian comes in, the grandson of Dick's old nanny Clarabelle (Novella Nelson), and Dick, who has never been much of a leader, starts to feel the weight of keeping them all safe.
