Anna (Gina Lollobrigida) owns a high-tech chicken farm and wants to keep her husband Marco (Jean-Louis Trintignant) close, though he spends his spare hours killing prostitutes. Then the young, very beautiful secretary Gabriella (Ewa Aulin) joins the household, and a love triangle forms among the three of them. Giulio Questi lets the jealousy build between these people, who share a farm, a table and a bed.
