Death Note

“Justice is coming.”

Light Turner (Nat Wolff) is a high school student in Seattle who finds a notebook that kills anyone whose name is written in it. He begins using it on criminals under the alias Kira, with Mia Sutton (Margaret Qualley) beside him and a demon voiced by Willem Dafoe at his shoulder. Adam Wingard sends L (LaKeith Stanfield) after him, and the film keeps asking who gets to decide that a person deserves to die.
