Death of a Cyclist

“Death on the road.”

A man lies dead on a Madrid road after a car strikes his bicycle, and the two people inside drive away without stopping. María José (Lucia Bosè) and Juan (Alberto Closas) are lovers who cannot afford to be found together. Juan Antonio Bardem follows them back into their ordinary lives, where María José sits at her husband's side, hands folded, saying nothing.
