Death Race 2000

“In the year 2000, hit and run driving is no longer a felony. It's the national sport!”

In the year 2000, a government-sponsored race crosses the United States, and points go to whoever runs down the most pedestrians. The five teams are each a man and a woman in weaponized cars, and the champion Frankenstein (David Carradine) is the country's hero, rivaled by Machine Gun Joe Viterbo (Sylvester Stallone). Paul Bartel sends them out with a rebel passenger, Annie Smith (Simone Griffeth), in Frankenstein's seat, and she has come to end the race.
