“They came for his family. Now he's coming for them.”

A home invasion leaves the family of Paul Kersey (Bruce Willis), a Chicago surgeon, torn apart, and the police under Detective Rains (Dean Norris) have little to go on. Eli Roth follows Paul as he picks up a gun and goes looking for the men responsible himself. His brother Frank (Vincent D'Onofrio) watches from the sidelines, and Paul keeps walking the city's streets, hood up, hands in his pockets.
