Deathwatch

“Deliver them from evil.”

A British company, cut off from its regiment after a savage battle in the First World War, stumbles into what looks like a bombed-out German trench. Only a few dazed Germans are left inside, and Pfc. Charlie Shakespeare (Jamie Bell) is among the men who dig in to hold it until reinforcements come. MJ Bassett puts the squad in the mud and the dark, with a sense of evil settling over the trench and the men beginning to turn on one another.
