Deception
Philip (Denis Podalydès) is an American writer living in exile in London, and what he mostly does is listen to women. His English lover (Léa Seydoux) comes to the studio that serves as their refuge, and others from his past come to him too, a former student and a woman in a New York hospital. Arnaud Desplechin keeps the camera close to the talk, so the film feels like one long afternoon of confession.
