Decision at Sundown

“At last the search was over...”

Bart Allison (Randolph Scott) rides into a small Western town with his partner Sam (Noah Beery Jr.), set on killing Tate Kimbrough (John Carroll), the most powerful man there. Bart blames Kimbrough for his wife's death and has come to settle it. Budd Boetticher keeps the film tight and spare, one of his seven Westerns with Scott, built around a single stubborn purpose.
