Delirious

“A comedy about a soap opera writer who's typing without a ribbon.”

Jack Gable (John Candy), head writer on a daytime soap opera, wants his own life to run as neatly as the plots he types for other people. A blow to the head drops him into the fictional town where his show is set, and he finds that whatever he writes on his typewriter comes true. Tom Mankiewicz puts Jack among the characters he invented, and his closest tie is to Janet (Mariel Hemingway), the woman he scripted and now has to face.
