The Gamin (Adrienne Barrett) is a young woman who wakes into a single night on Los Angeles's skid row, alone and without a word to say. John Parker made the film with no dialogue at all, so the dread comes from empty streets, a seedy hotel, and the men who follow her, among them a Rich Man (Bruno VeSota). Violence from her past keeps surfacing, and she moves through it all like someone who cannot wake up.
