Desierto

“A chase where only the strongest survive.”

Moises (Gael García Bernal) wants one thing, which is to get across the Mexican border and reach the United States on foot with a group of other emigrants. Jonás Cuarón puts them in open desert, where a rifle-toting vigilante named Sam (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his Belgian Malinois hunt unarmed men and women with nowhere to hide. Under the heat, the film is about the plain fact that some people's lives are treated as less than others.
