Desperate Measures

“Desperate times call for. . .”

Only one person alive is a bone marrow match for the dying son of San Francisco detective Frank Conner (Andy Garcia), and he is Peter McCabe (Michael Keaton), a convicted multiple murderer serving time. McCabe agrees to the procedure because it means a trip to the hospital, and he has plans of his own. Barbet Schroeder sets the chase in the hospital corridors and around the Bay Area, the Oakland Bay Bridge standing behind it all.
