Desperation Road

“The road to redemption is twisted.”

Maben's arrival (Willa Fitzgerald) upends the life of Russell Gaines (Garrett Hedlund), and nobody in the story can say what brought her. Russell is an ex-con trying to build a quiet life with help from his father, Mitchell (Mel Gibson). Nadine Crocker's film puts the two of them on the run with their old violence close behind, and Russell has to decide whether to trust her.
