“Two years in the making!”

Dr. Charles Cargraves (Warner Anderson), General Thayer (Tom Powers) and industrialist Jim Barnes (John Archer) set out to put Americans on the moon, building their spacecraft, the Luna, at a base in the Mojave Desert. Irving Pichel shoots the construction and the launch in Technicolor, with the same patience the men give their calculations. Cargraves is the one who has to know the numbers are right, and he is the one who answers if they are not.
