Detour
“He went searching for love… but fate forced a DETOUR to revelry… violence… mystery!”
Al Roberts (Tom Neal) plays piano in a New York nightclub and wants only to reach Los Angeles, where his girlfriend Sue (Claudia Drake) has gone ahead without him. He sets out hitchhiking, and the trip turns bad on the road. Edgar G. Ulmer made it fast and cheap for Poverty Row, and Al's story becomes one of Vera (Ann Savage) and him, two strangers stuck together.
