Devdas

“A grand saga of timeless love.”

Devdas Mukherjee (Shah Rukh Khan) comes home to Calcutta from London with a law degree, ready to marry Paro (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), the friend he has known since childhood. His family refuses the match, and he starts drinking, then seeks out the courtesan Chandramukhi (Madhuri Dixit). Sanjay Leela Bhansali keeps Devdas in the frame at the end, a glass in his hand, in the quiet of a house that has lost him.
