“Beyond Hope. Beyond Regret. Beyond Salvation.”

Jackson (Scott Eastwood), a young Civil War veteran, wants only to bring his kidnapped wife Alexsandra (Camilla Belle) home. The search sends him across hard Western country, where Ezra (Walton Goggins) and Benjamin Carver (Danny Glover) are bound up in what has been taken from him. Lawrence Roeck keeps the pace taut, and the bond between Jackson and Alexsandra is what the whole journey is measured against.
