“Is this the man she was waiting for... or the man who was waiting for her?”

Tony Wendice (Ray Milland) wants his wife's money, and he is done waiting for it. When Margot (Grace Kelly) sees her American lover, Mark Halliday (Robert Cummings), in London again, Tony starts planning her murder. Hitchcock, working from Frederick Knott's play, keeps the camera inside the Wendice flat and lets the slow, careful arrangements build the dread.
