Diary of a Mad Black Woman

“Time heals the heart. Faith heals the rest.”

Helen McCarter (Kimberly Elise) spent eighteen years as the dutiful wife of an attorney, and on the eve of their anniversary she comes home to find her clothes packed in a U-Haul in the driveway. Her husband Charles (Steve Harris) is divorcing her and wants her out of the mansion. Darren Grant follows Helen to her grandmother Madea (Tyler Perry), whose blunt kitchen-table advice is a hard thing to sit through when you're grieving.
