Greg Heffley (Aaron D. Harris) is grounded and stuck at home, worn down by his father Frank (Chris Diamantopoulos) and household chaos. When his mom Susan (Erica Cerra) announces a family road trip, he sees a chance to escape, but his brother Rodrick (Hunter Dillon) and best friend Rowley (Jude Zarzaur) have other plans. Danner animates the Heffley family's misadventures with a lightness that catches the small moments of warmth between them.
