“We're not in Manhattan anymore.”

Paul (Hugh Grant) and Meryl Morgan (Sarah Jessica Parker), a New York couple already on the edge of divorce, witness a murder and are hustled by federal agents into witness protection. They end up in a small town in Wyoming, staying with the local couple, Clay (Sam Elliott) and Emma Wheeler (Mary Steenburgen). Marc Lawrence plants two people who can barely stand each other in a house they cannot leave, and Meryl has to decide whether she still wants the man.
