“No one can drift forever.”

Hunt (Paul Rudd) and his friends work the waters off West Islip in 1976, digging clams the way their fathers and grandfathers did before them. Katherine Dieckmann follows them through a season when their own lives and their neighborhood both start to shift. It is a story about people holding onto a trade and a place that is quietly being taken out from under them.
