Veera Kaur (Rani Mukerji) wraps a turban around her head and glues on a beard so she can walk into the trials for an all-male cricket team. Rohan Kapoor (Shahid Kapoor), a county captain in England, has come home to India to lead his father's side, which has lost every season for eight years. Anurag Singh sets the whole story in a village where girls don't play cricket, so her wish to play comes down to whether she is allowed to.
