“Bulgaria remains optimistic, mainly because all the realists and pessimists have left”

Present-day Bulgaria, one night, and the radio is full of talk about a small business owner who drove a cab to get by, shot a banker over a doubled bribe, then shot himself. Stephan Komandarev follows six taxi drivers through the dark hours, among them Vlado (Ivan Barnev) and Popov (Georgi Kadurin), each fare bringing another passenger into the cab. Every driver is making his own calculation about how much more he can take.
