A sound of music drifting from the staff quarters of a Catskills resort pulls Frances "Baby" Houseman (Abigail Breslin) away from her family's summer routine, to a place she wasn't meant to go. There she meets Johnny Castle (Colt Prattes), the camp's dance instructor. Wayne Blair's television remake follows Baby as she steps onto the dance floor and into a summer that changes what she wants.
