Aleksei (Franz Rogowski) is a young Belarusian who crosses Europe on a hard journey and signs up for the French Foreign Legion, hoping it will make him European. Far away in the Niger Delta, Jomo (Morr Ndiaye) is a guerrilla fighter who is ready to die defending his village. Giacomo Abbruzzese follows the two men toward each other, until one life seems to run on inside the other.
