District 9

“You are not welcome here.”

An alien spaceship stalls over Johannesburg in 1982, and twenty-eight years later a million extraterrestrials are penned in a sprawling slum called District 9. Wikus van de Merwe (Sharlto Copley), a bureaucrat tasked with relocating them, stumbles into contact with their technology and begins to transform into one of them. As his body changes and his employers hunt him down, Wikus has to decide what he is willing to become to survive.
