Divergent

“What makes you different makes you dangerous.”

The aptitude test that is supposed to tell Tris (Shailene Woodley) where she belongs in a divided Chicago gives no answer at all, and the person running it tells her to hide that fact. Neil Burger follows her into a faction where she trains beside Four (Theo James), an instructor who seems to know more than he says. The factions exist to sort people by a single trait, and Tris is a person who will not be sorted.
