Divorce Italian Style

“He ordered marriage on the rocks with a twist... Italian Style!”

Ferdinando Cefalù (Marcello Mastroianni), a Sicilian baron, is bored by his wife Rosalia (Daniela Rocca) and in love with his cousin Angela (Stefania Sandrelli). Divorce is illegal in Italy, but the law goes easy on a man who kills an unfaithful wife, so he sets out to push Rosalia into another man's arms. Pietro Germi plays the whole scheme straight-faced, the way a man might plan a long, tedious errand.
