“Terror from the depths of hell!”

A band of thieves takes a cargo of gold off a stagecoach in the Old West, and the Americans among them turn on the Mexicans and shoot every one. The Stranger (Tomas Milian) is not quite dead, and he claws his way out of a shallow grave. Giulio Questi follows him toward the gold and the men who buried him, with Flory (Marilù Tolo) and the gang's leader Oaks (Piero Lulli) in his path.
