Django Unchained

“Life, liberty, and the pursuit of vengeance.”

Two years before the Civil War, in the Antebellum South, a German bounty hunter named Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) buys the freedom of Django Freeman (Jamie Foxx), a slave who can identify the men he is hunting. Django agrees to ride with him, but he really wants to find his wife, Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), on a Mississippi plantation. Quentin Tarantino stages it as a Western, with long talky scenes broken up by sudden, loud violence.
