Django Unchained

“Life, liberty, and the pursuit of vengeance.”

Django Freeman (Jamie Foxx), a slave, is freed by Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz), a German bounty hunter who needs his help tracking wanted men in the Old West. The two move toward Schultz's real goal: infiltrating a Mississippi plantation to rescue Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), Django's wife. Tarantino lets the dialogue sprawl across long scenes of negotiation and lies, building toward violence that arrives sudden and total.
