Doctor Dolittle

“He doesn't just talk to the animals!”

A talent John Dolittle (Eddie Murphy) lost track of in childhood comes back with no warning, and suddenly every animal within squawking distance wants a word with him. He is a successful physician and a devoted family man, and his colleagues, including Dr. Mark Weller (Oliver Platt), start to wonder what has gotten into him. Betty Thomas keeps the film loose and quick, setting its animal chatter against a doctor who badly needs a quiet hour.
