“Grab life by the ball.”

Average Joe's is a worn-out neighborhood gym run by Peter La Fleur (Vince Vaughn), who is in no hurry about anything, least of all the overdue bills. Across town, White Goodman (Ben Stiller) owns the glossy Globo Gym and wants the building under Peter's feet. Rawson Marshall Thurber sets the rent against a Las Vegas dodgeball tournament, and Peter's ragtag crew has to win the prize money or lose the gym.
