Dog Days
The hitchhiker (Maria Hofstätter) wants someone to take her along, and the suburb offers her very little else to do in the heat. Ulrich Seidl moves between six households over a few unseasonably hot summer days, among them a security man (Alfred Mrva) and a teacher (Christine Jirku) with a young lover, Vikerl (Viktor Hennemann). The wide Vienna suburb sits under a heat wave, and the whole film lies in that haze.
