Dogfight
“The rules of the dogfight were simple. Everyone puts in fifty bucks. The guy with the ugliest "date" wins.”
It is the fall of 1963 in San Francisco, and Eddie Birdlace (River Phoenix) is an 18-year-old Marine about to ship out for Vietnam with three buddies. For their last night they set up a contest they call a "dogfight," and Eddie goes looking for a date. Nancy Savoca follows him to Rose Fenny (Lili Taylor), and neither of them has any idea what that night will leave behind.
