“SOS From Earth. It Devours Buildings and People.”

Inspector Komei (Yōsuke Natsuki) is a Japanese detective working a string of diamond thefts, and the trail leads him to Mark Jackson (Robert Dunham), a foreign criminal with his own interest in the stones. Then a floating jellyfish-like mass descends from the atmosphere, feeding on the carbon in diamonds. Ishirō Honda films the creature in the daylight alongside special effects by Eiji Tsuburaya.
