Dolores Claiborne

“Sometimes, an accident can be an unhappy woman's best friend.”

On a small island off the coast of Maine, Dolores Claiborne (Kathy Bates) is accused of killing her employer, Vera Donovan (Judy Parfitt), twenty years after a court let her go over her husband's death. This time a witness puts her at the scene. Taylor Hackford brings in her daughter Selena (Jennifer Jason Leigh), a Manhattan magazine writer who comes home to cover the story and has not spoken to her mother in years.
