Don Camillo's Last Round

Don Camillo (Fernandel), the village priest, wants one thing this time: to keep Peppone (Gino Cervi), the Communist mayor he has fought for years, out of parliament. The Lord on the altar advises him to leave it alone, and Don Camillo goes out campaigning anyway. Carmine Gallone builds the third film around the same two rivals, whose quarrels show how much each depends on the other.
