Don Verdean

“Fraud works in mysterious ways.”

Biblical archaeologist Don Verdean (Sam Rockwell) takes a job from Pastor Fontaine (Will Forte) to dig up relics in the Holy Land that will bring his congregation to its knees. The expedition comes up empty, and Don has to get creative with the proof he owes. Jared Hess films the whole thing with a straight face, and Don stands in his rumpled short-sleeved shirt, still sure he is doing the Lord's work.
