Don's Party

“What a helluva night!”

On the night of the 1969 federal election, Don Henderson (John Hargreaves) throws a party to celebrate the Labor victory he is sure is coming, and his wife Kath is not pleased. Bruce Beresford gathers Don's friends, including Mack (Graham Kennedy) and Mal (Ray Barrett), around the drinks and the television as the evening goes loose. The talk is about politics, but it keeps turning into an argument about the lives these people settled for.
