Don't Come Knocking

Howard (Sam Shepard) was once a big Western movie star, and he has spent the years since drowning his disgust with alcohol, drugs and young women. Then he learns that he might have a child somewhere out there, and he sets off to find out. Wim Wenders, who wrote the script with Shepard, follows him toward Doreen (Jessica Lange) and a life he walked out on, a man who has to look at what he left.
